Task Information Systems, Inc.

Michael J. Roberts, founder of Task Information Systems, Inc., celebrated 25 years in business on March 30th, 2007. He has been a speaker at national computer conventions and has been featured in articles in Long Island Business News discussing business continuity and disaster recovery planning. He has been quoted in the LIBN’s Small Business Survival Guide and “Ask The Experts” columns on network security and video conferencing and specializes in Unix, Linux and IBM UniVerse (a Pick-like database). He lives on Long Island, outside of New York City, with his wife and two sons. Although he likes to be called “Mike”, almost everyone calls him “Michael”. No one around here understands why he loves soccer so much (especially Arsenal F.C.). In his free time he enjoys coaching youth lacrosse and rooting for the Lehigh University Mountainhawks.

Robert Kimball is our Windows NT, 2000, and XP guru. A Long Island native, Rob provides his extensive experience with high end servers and client/server networks to clients. When not working with computer systems you can usually find him playing with them. Trust me, you don’t want to challenge him to a game.

Elisabeth A. Roberts is the office manager. She’s the one that keeps us all in line. A British citizen, she was born in Singapore and eventually moved to London, Los Angeles, and finally New York (where it is too cold for her, even in summer). Her far ranging travels include trips on tramp steamers through the Suez canal. Besides impeccable English, she speaks both French and German. She hates it when people find out she belongs to MENSA. (Oops!)

Craig T. Kupper, is our Internet Sales Representative. He’s usually on the road, talking to people about the web and how Task can help them take advantage of the Internet. An avid golfer, he shoots in the high 80’s and has been known to drive the ball 300 yards. He will travel for hours for a round. His nickname is “Yogi” (the bear, not the baseball catcher, although he is a die hard Yankees fan).

Bill Treloar, our token New Jersey resident, began as a Systems Analyst at The Prudential and has grown with the industry and now provides clients with programming, database design and development, training, Internet services, and IT management. Bill has taught Systems Analysis and Design at the college level, and is widely published in technical periodicals for DataEase application developers. Recently he has gotten heavily involved in Search Engine Positioning to ensure that business web sites show up near the top of the listings when customers search for their products and services in search engines. Bill's a home winemaker (and root beer maker) and is former coordinator of Mensa's (Oops again!) Special Winemakers Interest Group.

Phil Sweeney, who searched long and hard before finally realizing he was a true geek, is a whiz configuring Cisco equipment and slings Java code, specializing in using it to work with Oracle databases. Phil adds to our geographic reach: he lives in Connecticut with his wife and son.
