DERBY DAY CELEBRATION AND RAFFLE

Dear Friend:

On the first Saturday in May, join us for the TRF's 17th annual BIG APPLE DERBY PARTY at Dorrian's Red Hand Restaurant on Manhattan's Upper East Side. For those of you who have been in  attendance or contributed money in years past - thank you, and we hope to see or hear from you again this year. For those of you who weren't able to help before, we would welcome your participation this year.  Even if you can't be there in person, there are still a number of ways you can be there in spirit and help with our mission. Here's how:

Come to our Seventeenth Annual
Big Apple Derby Party
Saturday, May 5th, 2018
from 4:30 PM until 7:30 PM

We hope you’ll be there for our Kentucky Derby Party. In addition to the festivities, you can view all the action from Churchill Downs and Belmont Park on thoroughbred racing’s big day. To take advantage of our “Early Bird” entry fee, we must receive your payment by Thursday, May 3rd, 2018.  Click here for more details.

Purchase Raffle Tickets

Even if you can’t attend the party, you won’t want to miss the chance to win our fabulous 3-day “Saratoga Getaway” Grand Prize for two people which includes a 2-night stay at the Saratoga Arms hotel, reserved Clubhouse seating at Saratoga Race Course, roundtrip rail transportation from Penn Station (NYC) to Saratoga Springs, a gift certificate for a downtown Saratoga Springs restaurant, a pair of tickets to the TRF's 6th Annual "Hay, Oats, and Spaghetti" fundraising dinner at the Saratoga Automobile Museum, car rental, and other items. Click here for more details and a listing of other prizes.

Sponsor a Thoroughbred

Want a horse to love but don't own a farm? The Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation Sponsorship Program helps provide lifelong care for former racehorses that are unsuitable for adoption. Sponsors receive a personalized packet about their selected horse as well as updates throughout the year - and even an opportunity to meet the horse in person. Various sponsorship levels are available. There is even a "kid-friendly" sponsorship packet for youngsters.   Click here for more information on sponsorship, horses you can sponsor, and sponsor benefits.  If you prefer to call the TRF about sponsorship, call (518)226-0028.  Be sure to mention that you heard about this from the Derby Party website.

Contribute to the TRF

Even if you can’t sponsor a horse, your tax-deductible contribution to the TRF still makes a difference. As the finest three years olds gather in Louisville for America’s most famous horse race, there is no more fitting time to help the TRF provide a well-deserved humane retirement for thoroughbred racehorses at the end of their careers. Click here to access the reply form.

Finally, you can also help by telling relatives, neighbors, and colleagues about this site. We hope to make this year’s celebration bigger and better than ever. Thank you for your consideration.
